Bowflex reviews - are they as good as the commercial makes them look

When looking at building you own home gym, we recommend investigating Bowflex reviews to find the truth about these machines.  Most Bowflex reviews we have read highly recommend this family of machines for a total body workout.  Bowflex is designed around a resistance workout versus weights.  Resistance is an excellent way to burn fat, build and tone muscles.

There are Bowflex reviews on all models including the Elite, Power Pro, Xtreme, Ultimate, Sport and Motivator.  Models at the lower end include the Motivator which is available for approximately $800.  If you are just getting started, the Motivator is priced right and offers enough features for a good workout.

All Bowflex models consist of composite rods.  Rods come in different thickness which increases the resistance.  Models offer 210lbs of resistance and can be upgraded to 410lbs.  Some people have claimed that 410lbs is not enough resistance for certain leg workouts.

Bowflex reviews show that all models are based around the same premise, with composite rods of varying thickness providing the resistance, as opposed to the weight stack of traditional home gyms. The basic Bowflex comes with a lat tower for pulldowns, tricep pushdown, leg extension/curl and squat attachment, 210-lbs of resistance with upgrade to 410 lbs.

A number of Bowflex reviews indicate that people have difficulty getting used to the machines especially if they used weight machines in the past.  If you can past this stage, you can get a very good workout.  Models are not the cheapest option on the market, but Bowflex offers quality equipment with excellent warranties.  Be sure to get them out at your local fitness equipment store before you buy.
